Two models for under your desk
- 150 W fibreboard heater with dimmer: the product details list 300 × 600 × 6 mm and self-adhesive mounting. Check that your desk’s underside is suitable.
- Welltherm ST0100, 100 W with dimmer: the product details list 30 × 60 cm and under-desk mounting. Check the fixings and clear space.
A dimmer adjusts output, not room temperature
The dimmer changes the heat output. This differs from a room thermostat switching at a measured temperature. Do not simply add a thermostat or smart plug: first check whether the manufacturer permits that combination.
Local warmth or heating the whole office?
These models aim to improve comfort at your seat. They do not automatically replace primary heating for an entire room. For room heating, compare infrared panels and panels with a thermostat. For separate room controls, choose thermostats.
Prepare mounting and electricity use
Measure the free space under the desk and check knee room, mounting materials and cable routing. Keep the heater clear of paper, bags and other objects and follow its manual. A film, board or panel is suitable only for mounting methods the manufacturer permits.
Running continuously at full output for one hour, 100 W uses 0.10 kWh and 150 W uses 0.15 kWh. Actual on-time and dimmer settings determine electricity use. These figures do not promise a specific comfort level or fixed savings.
